Medtronic is founded by Alfred Wieser and Alfred Schmidt
1972 - 1975
Development of a new dental cart called „First Team E“, first sales in Germany
Project sold to Litton Dental Products, Olathe, Kansas
1978 - 1980
Development and production of handpiece cords, ultrasonic scalers, OEM modules and accessory parts for Litton, Siemens, KaVo, Ritter, Emda
Integration of the hose extrusion technology, in-house production
1988 - 1989
First business contacts to Cavitron/Dentsply (USA) and Takara Belmont (Japan)
Development and production of handpieces and hoses
1990
Development of magnetic valves for dental units – patented
2004
Medtronic becomes ISO 13485 certified
2011 - 2015
Development and start of sales of the Medtronic 3-way-syringe
2013
Expansion of production area (in machines and human resources)and move to new production site in Weilrod-Riedelbach, 90 % vertical integration

Merger with the DÜRR DENTAL Group

Together with the Dürr Dental Group, the company is growing and offering even better and more sustainable solutions for dental treatment units

Change of name from Medtronic GmbH to Mytronic GmbH
