Step by step into a livable future
As a family business, we are aware of our high responsibility for future generations - our children and grandchildren.
Therefore, we have defined sustainability and environmental protection as our strategic goals. We are on the way to CO2 neutrality by implementing targeted sustainable measures for our buildings and production plants, in the area of mobility and communication, and in the development and use of many of our products.
Keeping our ecological footprint as small as possible is our constant task.
In addition to constantly acting on behalf of our workplace in the Taunus region, we try to make a positive impact on our world every day.
We are primarily involved in the local area. With various contributions, we make our planet a little bit better and support our employees responsibly and in the long term.
In addition, a study commissioned by Stepstone revealed that three out of four employees want sustainable employers. Every second respondent stated that they would specifically look for sustainable companies when changing jobs.
Our sustainability measures
Building/Production
Our goal by 2030 is to save 65 % of primary energy by:
- Energy refurbishment of all buildings to KfW standard
- Self-generated electricity through area-wide PV systems
- Sustainable heating systems
- Lighting concept
- Optimisation of walking routes
Mobility/Communication
We act in a resource-saving manner by:
- Conversion of the passenger car fleet to e-mobility
- E-charging infrastructure at the sites
- Business Bikes for our employees
- Mobile working/home office
Value chain/Society
We use environmentally friendly and trustworthy methods:
- Ecological packaging materials vs. reduction of plastic
- Higher energy efficiency
- Long-term service and spare parts structure
- Best possible local supplier structure
- Responsible employer and partner for over 50 years
- Motivated and committed employees are the basis of our success
„Our aim is to make a contribution to preserving a world worth living in for our children.“
Sustainable Projects
Care of young trees
We live and work in the Taunus region. In recent years, drought and the bark beetle have hit the centre of Germany hard.
We would like to make a contribution here through donations, as the maintenance of the trees already planted by the Weilrod forestry office is very cost-intensive.
Environment Days in Weilrod
Every year, either in spring or autumn, an environmental day is held throughout Weilrod. Citizens, including some of our Mytronic employees, volunteer to collect rubbish from forests, meadows and streets.
On this day, Mytronic pays for the catering for the hard-working helpers in the village of Riedelbach.
